Heart-warming tour with Mom
8:30am of May 20, how come there are so many people gathering outside of Hong Kong Coliseum? So this is the meeting place for Andy World Club “Heart-warming tour with Mom “! Although it was raining, the rain did not chill participant’s excitement. “You are all there, let’s start the tour!”On the coach, the tour guide explained the schedule for the day and said that some of the visiting spots might be changed because of the rain!
The first stop was a long-standing cookie shop. The guide explained the origin of the laopobing, wife cookies, to us! Wow! What a large factory room! On one hand, workers were forming cookies and the other hand, workers were putting formed cookies into oven, and other workers were removing well baked, golden color sweet-smelling cookies from oven! In addition to it, there are egg roll machines too. The machines can work by themselves! The only things workers need to do are to place egg rolls in order, and pack them into boxes! After the factory tour, we could try fresh-baked laopobing! We were served hot tea too. How considerate they are.
After that, we had lunch at a Chinese restaurant! The meal was so rich! Prawn, squid, chicken…and abalone too! We received gifts and played a game too! Suddenly screams echoed at the entrance! Suddenly a person appeared… The person was “Andy”!! Everybody was so happy to see him! Andy even came to every table to chat with us. So Andy needs to go to Taiwan on business, but came to see us. It is so great!
After lunch, we continued our schedule! Firstly, we went to Gold Coast. Because of the weather, the Art Promenade was temporarily closed, but we could visit some shops. We saw many leisure boats anchored at the pier, and hotel that all rooms have balconies! After that, we went to Lam Tsuen Wishing trees. There are two wishing trees but the trees were sick. So we could not throw our wish-making papers to the trees, and we could only hung them onto the wishing rack! Therefore I think we need to cherish plants in natural environment! There is a Tin Hau temple in the village. Except for it, I found a nice-looking washroom. I could not help visiting there!
Lastly, we went to Tai Po Water Front Park and took group photo under the large tent. And then we searched for lavender. The most important thing was that we walked slowly to Lookout Tower in the rain! Isn’t it so heart-warming?
Happy time always past so quickly, it is time for us to go back. We left the place reluctantly! I look forward to the next trip.
