[Track]Good Box Office Can do Director a Helping Hand

A Simple Life’ which was directed by Ann Hui and starred by Andy and Deanie Ip will be screening in cinemas throughout the Mainland China on 8 March. The film premiere was held inShanghaiwhereby the director and actors were in attendance yesterday.

Andy firstly filmed as the main lead was Boat People which was directed by Ann. Many years later, he collaborated with her again in ‘A Simple Life’. He expressed, “Since ‘A Simple Life’ is based on a true story, the character of Roger in the film is the shape of the real one.” Under Ann’s camera, the heavenly King Andy acted out the ordinary leaving his intelligence behind. When interviewed about the box office, he expressed, “This film had already gained a lot for us. If it has a good box office taking, I hope it will help director Ann Hui a lot. More investors will invest in her films and it will not like that difficult in the past. So, I’ve earned enough from this film.”
