[電影]Andy Lau in new awareness campaign to protect children during CNY

Hong Kong actor Andy Lau is reminding parents traveling home for the Spring Festival to hold on tightly to their children in a public welfare advertisement, reports our Chinese language sister newspaper Want Daily.
Data over recent years have shown that more children get lost during the Spring Festival travel rush than any other time of the year. Tens of millions of people cram into the country’s public transportation and road networks, working through massive traffic jams and crowds for the family reunion. The holiday is often referred to as the “world’s largest population shift in peacetime.”
Andy Lau, in an effort to remind parents to watch their children closely, has recently appeared in a TV commercial depicting a lost, panicked children that finally reunite with their parents. The images go along with Andy Lau narration, saying, “Sweet is the the way home. Please watch closely over your child… You are their best protection.”
The commercial corresponds with one of Lau’s recent movie productions titled Lost and Love, in which he plays the role of a peasant who has been searching for his lost son for 15 years. According to the 53-year-old Andy Lau, who just had his first and only child in 2011, he totally relates to those who have lost their youngsters, and is especially concerned about the issue.
The commercial will be broadcast in nearly 500 train stations and 50 airports across China for a month around the time of the Spring Festival.
