Germany go! Germany go, go...! Pt.2
Hello my Darling ♥ Angel-Bear ♥
How are You... I hope You had a great day and a pleasant week so far... feeling all happy and healthy?
Are you enjoying watching the WORLD CUP?
What did You think of the Germany vs. England match? Were You sad that England lost?
Personally I’m, of course, very happy that Germany won and is advancing to the quarter final. Our team played a good match and it was a well-deserved victory. Still one has to admit that we were also a bit lucky that England’s second goal wasn’t counted and that although it clearly was a goal. I can understand the disappointment of the English team and their fans. Oh well, as disappointing this referee mistake was for England, I guess one could also say that it was poetic justice for the infamous Wembley goal in 1966... now we’re even! Even the English media agreed to that. :p
I like the English team and it’s always a delight for every football fan to see them play against Germany. Germany vs. England that’s just a football classic, especially in a WORLD CUP match. And although England is quite often referred as our archrival in football there‘s nevertheless always a great mutual respect between the two teams and I like that very much, it’s a sign of sportsmanship. England certainly wasn’t in top shape in this WORLD CUP but they’re still a great team who deserve our respect. I’m already looking forward to the next Germany vs. England match, maybe for the European Championships. ;)
But now we first have to focus on our next WORLD CUP match against Argentina this Saturday. This will probably be the toughest match for our team and the strongest team they have to play against so far. I have to admit that Argentina isn’t one of my favourite teams. I don’t like their attitude. Argentina plays football on the highest level and they are doubtlessly one of the strongest teams if not ‘the’ strongest team in this WORLD CUP but I think they lack of sportsmanship. Their behaviour towards other players and referees is sometimes rather rude and disrespectful. I admit that I’m probably biased... recalling the unpleasant incident during the 2006 WORLD CUP when we defeated Argentina through penalty shootout in the quarter final and the players of both teams got in a fight at the end of the match. Such scenes are rather unpleasant to watch and they throw a bad light on both teams and on the countries they represent. I know one should leave the past behind and not dwell forever on things that happened several years ago, still it leaves sort of a bad aftertaste. I truly hope that on Saturday we’ll get to see a great and fair match between two excellent football teams. And I hope that our team will keep a cool head and entirely focus on the match. I think Germany has a realistic chance to win this match but it indeed will be very tough.
I wish our boys all the best... Germany go! Germany go, go! :D
Any chance that You'll be rooting for us? Pleeease. *puppy eyes*
Alright enough WORLD CUP chatter for today. I wish You a good-night and sweet dreams. ;)
Have a wonderful day tomorrow and an even better WORLD CUP weekend.
Take care & be safe, my Love.
xoxo,
~ Gai
