It’s been some time since the last gathering. This time, Andy specially visited Taiwan for participating in the 8/8 Taiwan Flood Disaster Victim Relief event. He appealed to us to donate their money, which was set aside for attending his birthday party held in HK, to help victims in need. To thank you for the members pitching in his appeal, Andy made a special trip and join the Members Gathering held on 25th October at the International Convention Centre.
We arrived at the airport and got ready to meet our dearest Andy. We prepared various welcome banners and gifts for him. At the picking up area, family members and reporters got their camera in position for Andy’s arrival. No sooner, continuous screams and flashlights seemed welcoming Andy and sending him into his car. Reporters were chasing him while we were rushing to the Gathering venue!
As usual, immediately after admission, we ran to the souvenir counter and bought our favourite products. Then, we happily queued up and passed security & bags checked. There we were in the very spacious and comfortable hall, no seats were with limited view. Video was screening while I was checking my favourite souvenir, it seemed I was flying with the clouds. What a special feeling!
As the Gathering time was approaching, we were holding our breath. The host firstly appeared on stage and requested us to welcome Andy who then appeared on stage engulfing in our continuous screams. Immediate, after chit-chat with Andy, we started the photo session which was first and different from the past and came in first. All of us were thinking of their unique pose while waiting and Andy could co-ordinate with them easily. Although he had to take over 800 photos with the members, he never lost his smile.
After the photo-taking, Andy and the winning members played “Guess Number”. The hall was full of laughter when they were playing. The MC then started a lucky draw. Although I was not one of the 2 lucky winners, I put my hope to next year! At the Q&A time, the most anticipated question was about Big Brother’s Mandarin album, hoping that we would be able to hear his singing soon!
In the Gathering, Andy sang several nice and touching songs. When he sang “I hate being deeply in Love ”, the audience was so excited and hyper! Some of them were standing up, jumping, and dancing. It was as if a mini concert was taking place. When the event was almost over, Andy thanked the family members for joining and then said goodbye. I really didn’t want it end but lastly Andy left the hall with the member’s great cheers.
Although I just joined this family, I would join the party next year and every year afterwards. This is the way to have Andy in my memory!
