[Track]《protégé 》premier was a great success

The premier of the movie, protégé was held at Times Square and the main casts, Andy Lau, Louis Koo, Anita Yuen, Daniel Wu ,and the Director Derek Yee Tung Shing and Producer Peter Chan Ho-sun attended. The show was a great success. A large number of Andy’s fans arrived at the place earlier to cheer for Andy. Andy plays the role of narcotic dealer in the movie. It can be regard as a breakthrough performance. At last, he cut aorta of his neck to commit suicide. Many audiences reacted strongly to the shocking scene.   Talking about this scene, Andy said they considered to shoot from high angle at long distance, just as the heroin making scene in the movie, trying not to describe the detail. However, Andy came to know that although this movie deals with drug, the original version can be shown in the mainland China, Singapore and Malaysia, no need to change the ending, just need to cut few second of some sensitive scenes. Andy feels happy about it. “If movie makers will make more movies with various themes, Hong Kong movies will be able to tap new markets” says Andy. When Director Derek Yee Tung Shing praises Andy for forsaking his idol image for performances, Andy says with smile that he can forsake his idol image, but at the same time, he enjoy being an idol, so if the director shoots “Full Throttle” again, be sure to cast him in the movie.
