The yearly celebration, Mother’s Day, had come and Andy World Club specially held “Heartfelt Words to My Kindred 2010 affectionate Banquet”. I was very happy to see members come to the party with their families. For member participants, 2 kinds of gifts were considerately prepared by Andy World Club staff, one was carnation flower shaped soap and the other was skin care products.
When the Banquet started, delicious Chinese food was served for members to enjoy, while photos were shown on a screen of “Bond of Sentiment Photo Contest.” Shortly after, when the MC announced the next program, the atmosphere became electric. Andy was ready to appear on stage and everybody stood up at once and cheered! Andy appeared in a small silver car with many heart shaped balloons and at that time all the fans tried to get close to him, so things got a bit out of control. At last Andy got out of the car, walked up to the stage and joked “Were you warming-up for the year-end concert?”
The program started with a photo contest award ceremony and Andy told us he also voted for the photos. His favorite photo was the one a little girl climbing her mother’s big belly and it was selected as one of the top ten photos. Then prizes were awarded for the “Heartfelt Words to My Kindred 2010 Essay Writing Competition” and I was honored to be chosen as one of the winners. After listening to the winning works, Andy presented an award certificate and bouquet to winners, it was a heart-warming scene.
In the next program, Andox and Box performed a Korean group’s hit song 《Nobody》, they sang the song with new lyrics to praise their Mom, Andy, and this made Andy so happy. He even went up to the stage and imitated the two son’s dance step so both the stage and audience were so excited. Then a group of children members appeared on stage to sing 《Mom I Love You,》with Andox and Box in chorus, the dedication was to all the mothers. With Andy happily leading all those present to sing in chorus, a heart-warming atmosphere filled the hall.
At the end of the program, all the members congratulated Andy on receiving The 12th World Outstanding Chinese Award and Honorary doctorate degree from Lansbridge University of New Brunswick, Canada. The event ended in cheers and I would like to thank staff of Andy World Club for an unforgettable afternoon.
