It’s has been six years that Andy visited Korea again. His visit made members of Korea burst out of joy. The main purpose of his Korea trip was to attend the 2014 Asia Para Games at Incheon. We were very impressed that he spared time from his tight schedule to have a short gathering with us!
I was lucky to have the opportunity to be one of the voluntary helpers to participate in the Gathering on that day. At 2 pm, I was lit up with glee while seeing every member wear big smiles on faces and have an expression of look-forward-to-meet Andy during the admission.
Once the MC announced that the Gathering was about to start, we started shouting “華仔, 華仔, 華仔, ANDY, ANDY, ANDY”. He soon appeared in our screaming! You can’t imagine that Andy’s body shape and skin were taken care so good even in his early 50s. That made me envy so much!
Beyond our expectation, Andy came over to each table and sat among us having a close chatting. We were all overjoyed by his action. Our eyes stopped at his handsome face with mouths widely opened and couldn’t speak a word. He shared his family pictures with us and we could see his daughter was an adorable and happy kid from those pictures!
When Andy stopped at each table, he received lots of cool gifts that were prepared by members ahead. They included ‘Andy Ice Bucket Challenge Glamour Cake’, hand-made Korean style clothing for his daughter… etc.
Although the Gathering with Andy only lasted for an hour, the most important was getting the blessings from him which cheered us all!
We look forward to meeting Andy again in Korea in the near future and wish him and his family healthy and happy!
