[Track]Andy regards Ka-tong as a good brother

Movie “Brothers” presented by Focus Films Limited will be released on October 18. The boss, Andy Lau, and his “Shou zu”, literal meaning is arms and legs and the meaning is brothers, Lam Ka-tong answered interview for the movie promotion. After “Infernal Affairs”, two play the role of “brothers” in the police again. But Andy says that Ka-tong is his “brother” in the real life too because Ka-tong is definitely a “good brother”. Andy says that he has been in this industry for many years, and regards friends as his “brothers”. He thinks that “brothers” should not be calculating. If you are calculating, it is not “brothers”. In the past, he devoted himself to brothers and did not know how to withdraw himself from the relation even though he was hurt. But he has grown up now. He still treats brothers well, but if he discovers that the person is not a brother, he has learnt to withdraw himself and never look back. Concerning his brother, Ka-tong, he says “He is under contract with my company. When my company was dealing with lawsuit a few years ago, I told artists who belong to my company that if they want to leave, they may leave now for their future because the future of my company was unclear. Ka-tong never said a word and remained. He already became my “brother”, as if my own arms and legs, he always cooperate without making me worry, he cherishes everything and every moment. He works very hard. In addition to it, he became more and more skillful. These days he already became one of the best actors who has large market share in the movie industry. He appears in 5 movies in the latter half of the year. It is not easy to achieve it! It is a remarkable result!”             

Co-stared with Four Tigers in the movie, Lam Ka-tong says that it was an unforgettable life experience that allows him to learn many acting methods. Talking about Four Tigers, although one tiger, Tony Leung, was missing, Ka-tong says that if chance comes, he surely wish to co-star with Tony. Andy also says that he wishes Five Tigers can co-star someday, if it is realized, Andy surely will count Ka-tong in. Since Tony was not acting in the movie, it was rumored that Five Tigers dislike each other. Asking Andy if he has talked with Tony about it, Andy says “I believe that Tony is a reasonable person, he knows what rumors mean in this industry. We are plunged into this position. He will not believe the outside rumors. Tony and I are good friend and it is all right as far as we understand each other. We seldom phone each other, if I phone him, he may feel strange, ha-ha.” Concerning Tony’s movie “Lust, Caution” Andy says that of course he has seen it, moreover he really admire Tony’s great acting, when Andy thinks of himself, he can not play such role, he feels that Tony probably did not know the role is so bold when he take on the role in the movie, probably he came to accept the bold role when he is absorbed in the movie as shooting proceeds. Andy says “I do not think Tony knew that the role is so bold when he takes role in the movie, if I was him and knew it was like that, I would not take the role. I can not think of myself playing the bold role of Mr. Yee even in my dream! Tony is really great!”
