[Track]Movie Theme Song presented by Andy Lau and Louis Koo
Directed by Herman Yau, <The Storm 2 – Drug Lords> will be officially published on 16th July. The movie was acted by the producer Andy Lau with Louis Koo, Michael Miu, Karena Lam, Carlos Chan, Michelle Wai, Chrissie Chau, Cherrie Ying, MC Jin and Jun Kung. It is the first time for the two best actors, Andy and Louis, presented the movie theme song together. Louis described Andy’s performance as a perfect one.
The theme song presented by two of them has added brand new element to the market. Louis said, ‘Is it over-claimed? I am not a professional singer. Don’t be exaggerated.’ Andy laughed and said, ‘I am no longer a full time singer too. I just recalled a similar song that was the theme song of <Internal Affairs> I sang with Tony Leung. A “masculine” song is needed for the market.’ Andy has sung so many songs through these years, but has he ever listened to Louis’? Andy replied, ‘Of course! I have listened to many of his songs, though I may not be able to name them. I understand that Louis worried about his performance while doing the recording. However, I think he worried too much. He really did a good job especially the chorus part. You may listen to this part!’ Heard of Andy’s comment, Louis laughed and said, ‘Andy should have full marks while I am zero.’
<The Storm 2 – Drug Lords> is a story about the brotherhood between two leaders. The lyrics were written by the producer and the actor of this movie, Andy Lau. Being asked for the lead time of writing the lyrics, Andy said, ‘I couldn’t recall how long does it take. May be several days. I think of the scene with Louis in it, including the brotherhood stories with him and the other actors while writing. I want to emphasize that when there is anything unclear, we have to raise out. Just clarify the truth, otherwise suspicious between brothers can destroy the relation. ‘Louis mentioned that he couldn’t give any comment on the lyrics after reading it. He teased himself that he really has no idea on it because of his poor singing skill.’
For the movie scene that Louis recalled while singing the song, he stated that the ending of the movie is about the two of us treating each other as a stranger in the train. The relation built for more than a decade has totally broken.
