[Track]Karena doesn’t want to be disliked by Andy

Both Andy and Karena have been actively working in the industry for many years, however, it is the first time for them to work together in the new movie <The Storm 2 – Drug Lords>.  Acting as a couple in the movie, Karena was excited to dress on a wedding gown for the first time.  For Karena, it is really stressful to work with Andy.  She worried about being disliked by Andy due to her poor acting skill.  Andy mentioned that he realized why everyone gave good comment on Karena’s acting skill after playing a movie with her. 

Married in 2010, Karena has a son and a daughter.  Formed a happy family with 4 members, she mentioned that she didn’t wear a wedding gown when she got married.  Without any pre-wedding photos, she didn’t dress on a wedding gown in her real life.  She recalled that while playing <Integrity> with Sean Lau, they took some pre-wedding photos for the movie.   Always hoped to act a wedding scene, Karena’s wish can be fulfilled in this movie.  Apart from the wedding ceremony, there was another sweet scene that both of them sitting on a bed holding a baby.  Andy’s funny face made the baby laughed cheerfully.  This scene is full of love and harmony.  Karena was very excited to have a chance to act with Andy in a movie with such a wedding scene.   ‘I have never put on a wedding gown neither in my real time and nor in movies.  I am really happy for it.  I was on diet for a whole day to make sure I am fit enough to put on the wedding gown.  I kept thinking of what to eat right after this shot.’  Andy stated that he has acted many many wedding scenes with different actresses since he was still playing tv series.  It recalled many of his memories with these beautiful ladies.’ 

Karena said she was really stressful to play a movie with Andy.  To marry and divorce in the story, Karena was not confident enough on her acting skills.  Andy said, ‘Your performance is really good.  The director, Herman Yau, can always lead us to a suitable emotion especially in the crying scenes.  I always heard that Karena’s acting skill is very good.  I can experience it personally this time.  I was quite confident in myself but now…’ Andy laughed.  Karena mentioned the first shooting day is very unforgettable, including the sweet scene and arguing scene at their home in the movie.  ‘I must have triggered people’s jealousy as I acted as Andy’s wife!’   Karena found that Andy is capable enough to be the director of a movie.  As he is always devoted to every single task in the process.  She said, ‘Andy communicated with every actor on the details of the movie.  He is able to express the emotion of the role skillfully.  For me, I have to find a corner to ‘brew’.  He totally expressed all his emotion once the director start rolling.  I have to urge myself to get into my role.  Different from Andy, I need guidance on my position.  He is really experienced and professional.  I have learnt a lot from him.’
