September 25 was both an unforgettable and touching evening which happened to be Andy’s birthday, in Lunar Calendar. Andy World Club’s family members gathered to celebrate our big brother’s birthday and his 30th anniversary in show business.
Before the birthday party, Andy World Club set up game booths for members for the first time. There were 7 game booths, 〔Muyu yu Jinyu〕,〔Unknown quantity〕,〔Fafa saigaai〕,〔gaapji chihngyuhn〕,〔Lik gu Lik gu〕,〔City Hunter〕, 〔Xingan baobei Photo Studio〕and many wonderful gifts were prepared for members, by the organizer. My favorite booth was of course the 〔Xingan baobei Photo Studio〕which enabled us to do good deeds for charity, whilst taking photos, with Andy’s life-size paper doll. Every booth had its own characteristic which attracted many members to attend the game enthusiastically and the booths were open until the birthday party started.
A long anticipated Birthday Party finally started and as it opened, Andy awarded a yearly scholarship to students and prizes to the winner of the calligraphy contest. The Theme of this birthday party was “Guwu”, which means inspire in Chinese (Note by translator: Origin of the word, Guwu, is “let others dance by hitting drums”) so the performance using “drums” was indispensable. Additionally, the member’s elaborate performance of “Chinese drum” earned loud applause from Andy. Andox & Box also dedicated a funny martial arts performance to their Mom and it seemed to be, that great performances were inherited from Andy.
Pleasant surprises happened one after another and actually the “Return gift”that Andy previously mentioned on the web, was the Part 2 of “PROUD OF U”. His hit songs and hot dances aroused the fans who kept screaming his name, the atmosphere was so lively! During his performance, Andy knew well, how to create a fun atmosphere, and also allowed us to get close to him. Many thoughtful birthday gifts and birthday red packets were prepared by members, for Andy. At the end of the program, all the members sang a birthday song together, applause never stopping while Andy cut the cake, the theme of the cake was based on Andy’s songs, movies, TV series and Andy’s photos of 30 years in show business, were pasted on the cake. They were testimonies of success. At the end of the party, Andy sang《Yihng cheung ngoh dik go》which closed the show and in the middle of the song, Andy was moved to tears. This also moved me to tears, it was a touching moment.
From now on, our cheers and applause will always be with Andy, we hope he will enjoy support and warmth by family members. We wish him happiness every day.
