With once every four years, the world is crazy about the London Olympics Games. Andy who has always been enthusiastic about sports is also crazy about the Games watched the live telecast everyday. He also looked forward to the 14th Paralympic Games opening on 29 August in London. Showing his support to the disabled and Paralympic Games athletes, he paid a visit to Beijing Paralympic Games centre earlier to cheer for those athletes who were busy training there.

In the past two decades, Andy has committed to care for the disabled and Paralympic athletes. Whenever the Paralympic Games take place, he would jet off there on his own expenses to show his support. He revealed that in early September, he would fly off to London to support the Paralympic Games. The Chinese Paralympic Games committee also presented Andy as “2012 London Paralympic Games Chinese Athletes Love Ambassador” on the day he visited. He was pleased to accept the title and hoped by his effort to influence more people to show their concern with the disables and support the Paralympic Games,so as to cheerfor the athletes of the world.

The sudden visit by Andy at the Paralympic Centre excited all athletes there, dispirit of sweating, their laughter allowed him to fill satisfy and drove the summer away.

Andy firstly visited the track and field and watched ‘Wheelchair Racing’. Although athletes were concentrated on their training, they surrounded him once they recognized his presence. When being told by the coach that the wheelchair team won 10 gold medals in 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games, Andy was amazed and he wished they could do better this year.

Next, he went to the blinded ball arena. He recalled that four years ago he experienced this game and that time he was knocked out by a female player. He never expected that would be so painful and left him a deep impression. He was blindfolded again and could only made use of the sound of the bell to determine the position to shoot, used hearing to pass ball, however, the strength that he used was too soft that the opponent team failed to catch the ball he passed and lost a point. He quipped, “You all deliberately let me in.”

At the swimming pool, a teammate, He Junquan, that Andy is familiar with had won 4 gold medals in 2004 Greece Paralympic Games is armless. When Andy saw him, he said, “I’m back.” Andy doubled up as assistant for him to hold a towel for him to bite during the start of the lap. Then, they took picture together and Andy wished him to do better in London.

At last, he visited basketball arena and participated in their training to experience what the athletes feel. He created quite a commotion when athletes surrounded him with bright laughter, everyone was touched by this scene.

At the end of the trip, Andy expressed, “Every time when I look at them, I learn more from them. I hope there are more people who care about people with disabilities, giving them supports and help.”
