should be the most expecting local movie which will be released this Summer. The two actors, Andy Lau and Louis Koo, were participated in together 20 years ago. It is interesting that both of them seldom contact but knowing each other well. Andy said, ‘Honestly, it was my first time to give him a call after this movie.’

Andy didn’t pay much attention on Louis’ performance in playing the role of Yang Guo, but he believes the youngsters should be more familiar with Louis’ performance than his.’

Participated in together without shooting for a same scene

According to the promotion message written for , ‘ it has been 12 years since their last movie…’ However, they did not meet in the shooting of the movie. They just participated in the movie separately. Therefore, the previous movie they really acted together should be the of 2002. They played the roles of two brothers in this movie 17 years ago.

Andy is the key person who lined up this cooperation. ‘After shooting for , my boss showed me the script of and asked me to do the production for this movie. I found that Louis is one of the actors and thought that a villain is missing. After knowing that Louis is the one who took the villain role, I would be the role against him to create a story of black against white.’

Although the role Andy acted is a nice person, there are lots of shortcomings. ‘He always thought that he’s very good and have well preparation for all the things, but actually he was unable to manage everything perfectly. He couldn’t aware that he is bringing troubles to people near him because of his stubborn and sympathetic character.’

Louis’ unforgettable time

Andy and Louis met each other in the movie in 1999. Louis was a popular TV actor at that time. As he is not an experienced movie actor, he was very excited to have a chance to act with Andy. ‘It was really great to participate in a movie with such a super star!’

Louis mentioned that as his acting skill was still poor, he was really stressful at that time.

Having the chance to participate in a movie together 17 years later, Andy said that he has already forgotten the previous feeling. However, it is good to re-build a relation with each other. The brand new feeling create brotherhood. Honestly, it was my first time to give Louis a call after shooting.’

Is it really hard to find Mr. Koo? Even Andy couldn’t contact him? ‘I seldom use smartphone. I always turn off my mobile even though we have advanced app to communicate.’

A Song for Men’s Romance

Andy and Louis also sang the theme song of the movie. The lyrics were written by Andy. It is not easy to invite Louis to sing. Louis said, ‘I am not good at singing. I am afraid I cannot handle it well. After listening to the song, I found the melody is good. I am sure people in karaoke must choose it. It is easy to sing while presenting men’s romance.’ Louis really loves the melody of this song.

Talking about the lyrics, Andy took an experience that he didn’t polish up the wording, which made the song eaiery to understand. ‘While listening to the pop song, I may not be able to understand the message behind. Therefore, I tried to make the lyrics simple.’ Louis was happy that he got a theme song eventually. He said. ‘It is unusually to have a theme song for a movie. I really think it is good!’
