Wow! Wow! Wow! 17 March 2013 was an unforgettable date! The 1st Quarter Members Gathering (Hong Kong) 2013 of AWC was held at the AC Hall of the Hong Kong Baptist University.
Two MC explained the rules and regulation of the site after we entered the Hall through the computerized system. The backdrop of the stage used Easter as the main theme and a video of Maggie showing us how to make chocolate Easter eggs was screening that hit up the atmosphere as a starter.
The moment of excitement finally came and we were all delirious with joy! Andy appeared on the stage! He, heroically, came out from the backstage and was holding a microphone with left hand and a Easter bunny with right hand. Thunderous of applause filled with the hall and the atmosphere was full of joy. I could not control my excitement also by clapping and shouting with high rising adrenal hormones! This was the second time I met Andy after the Hand in Hand Party on the 16th, how could I not being excited?
The photo-taking session began. We treasured the chance of taking pictures with Andy since this session will be stopped in the near future. Everyone tried their best to have a satisfying gesture for photo taking.
A game session was added in the Gathering. The rule was: each participant must take out a Hong Kong Dollar note and Andy would pick out six numbers from the box. If the serial number of the dollar note matched with those six numbers, you win! Congratulation! Andy quipped, “The winner’s dollar note won’t be returned after our verification!” (Of course he was joking with us.) We all burst into laughter after Andy’s shocking comment.
There were few interesting issues happened during the Q & A session. One family member asked if Andy would perform in a ‘Stand up Comedy” and he replied, “Me in Stand up Comedy? But you are funny enough to be one!” One of the members shown off his singing talent with medley songs and Andy said with a sudden whim, “I should hold ‘The Voice of Andy Lau’ in the future’.” We all laughed the head off.
I saw another Andy Lau who is different from the one in TV programmes during this event. He was with kindliness in the Gathering and his affinity affected every member presented as if it was causal chatting with old friends. His humor, his smile, his charm, I was fascinated by every part of him. I could only squatted in front of the television to watch his《笨小孩》when I was small and until today I was just act like《笨小孩》, feeling nervous and panic when I met him. I could not stop but laugh at myself when I recalled how silly I looked like in the Gathering.
I have promised myself I have to be as hard-working as Andy does. His every success is my motivation of learning! Year of 2013 has opened my road in AWC, can we walk together in the coming future? Please allow me “餘生，一起過” (spending the rest of lifetime with you)…!
