The long-rumored Doomsday did not appear as predicted. What’s more important was the 4th Quarter Member’s Birthday Party which was held as scheduled!
The Party was held at the AC Hall of the Hong Kong Baptist University. Members arrived on time and were seated to wait for the arrival of Andy. There were Christmas decorations, lightings and Christmas tree on the stage. Christmas was all around!
When the Party started, Andy appeared in stylish suit and celebrated our birthday with a Christmas-feel birthday cake. With our closed-eyes, we sincerely made wishes hoping everyone’s dream comes true followed by cutting cake. The volunteers of Andy World Club must be thanked as they have designed and hand-made such a beautiful birthday cake for us in every birthday party. Although the cake could not be eaten, all of us could share the happiness.
It came to the Photo-taking session with Andy. Everyone lined up one by one and waited patiently. During the waiting period, I noticed the AWC staff who worked on the stage sent their blessings to each member. I really wanted to say out aloud to Andy “Much obliged!” for he took pictures with each of us. Then, after finishing photo taking, he shared his recently happy issues with us and chatted about his work in 2013. He also performed a shoe-magic that made us all burst into laughters.
Happy moments often fly. Towards the end of the Party, we had a slogan for Andy “Happy laughter through a year, Let’s play again next year. Yeah!”.
At last, we were reluctant to part the Party but could only look forward to the activities in 2013. Once again, thanks for the thoughtful arrangements by all AWC staff and volunteers.
