Praising our Parents Affectionate B’quet
Did you have celebration for your mum on Mother’s day on 11th May? Last year, we took a day trip on Mother’s day. This year, we have an unforgettable banquet, which was extremely impressive and heart-warming.
Generally, only members are allowed to join AWC events. In this time, some members could take their father or mother to the banquet. Greeted by the MC, we started the banquet and were longing for “today’s main dish”. What is it, except our mum? Certainly, that is … Andy!!
Firstly, Andy said “hello” to the mothers who were on stage and claimed that he was not sure who the mothers were, and who the daughters were!! All mothers immediate were in big smile. Afterwards, there was lucky draw. In each table, there were 3 winners!! Because of this event, Andy World Club held an “Essay Contest”. Members were urged to praise their mothers through writing. Finally, 3 members winner won the prize. They have a chance to read their “heart” and showed their love to their mum on the stage! I was attentive to their stories which were full of both happiness and sadness. In a case, the mother and daughter supported each other with asking for return. It was so touching that many members were in tears!! The session ended with Andy presented flowers to the mothers.
All of us know who “gave birth” to Andox and Box. They also joined the banquet and showed their love to their mum. They performed Magic and sang a familiar song “無間道” in new lyrics which depicted how great their mother is. Andy, of course, laughed from his heart. Since Andox was born in May, so Box presented him a cake and sang him the birthday song. The joyful atmosphere was full of the venue!
The event would have been finished without Andy’s singing. He sang “一晩長大” with accompaniment by guitars played by 2 kids, and “Mama, I love you” accompanied by Jacky. Needless to say, mothers and daughters are precious to each other. Nobody is replaceable. So, “心肝寶貝” could not be missed out in the singing list. The banquet ended after this song.
We have to memorise that we should love our mum not only on mother’s day but everyday.
