9 December, feel cool in early winter!
9 December was a family day. A family day for meeting our family members and Big Parent!
It was the first time that AWC held BBQ gathering after Andy’s Birthday Party in 2008. Although it was a small scale gathering, we were happy to meet one another. The weather of that night was cool with nice view and clean environment, a small stage was set up also. Although the place was a bit crowded, with the nice arrangement by AWC staff, we had a quick admission and found our own table quite easily.
To begin with the gathering, for sure was the starting of barbecue first to fill our stomach. There were 12 people in each table and among those, some were new to me. This provided a chance for us to know one another better. The BBQ Night was a bit different from that we used to grill by using barbecue forks. Raw food was put on the net and grilled directly, this not only shorten the cooking time and would not make our hands dirty, which was very convenient for us as we could grill lots of food at the same time. Because of the grilling method, the variety of food was also different from usual. Besides steak, pork chop and sausages, there were seafood, like scallops, mussels and shrimps. Though the BBQ period lasted for around two hours, after an hour I already felt full because I had tried all kinds of food!
After filling the stomach, we waited for the arrival of Andy. At almost 7, he finally came. Andy stepped on the stage saying “Hello” to us and asked if we had enough, if we felt cold. Then he came over to each table and chatted with us, played magic and tried the grilled food we prepared for him. We thought the gathering would end soon after the table-to-table chatting. But he gave us a SURPRISE! Andy sang for us with the accompaniment of Jacky, the producer. He, firstly sang two slow-rhythm songs – <巧合> and <因為愛情>. Then followed by our favorite fast-rhythm song, guitar version <我恨我痴心>. The simple background music was far enough to lighten up our excitement. We all stood up to dance, shouting “Encore” and were not willing to finish the gathering. At last, Andy performed <如果有一天> as a full stop of the BBQ Night.
This was another exciting sleepless night. Hoping there will be more same kind of gatherings and we have to thank for all AWC staff of that night.
