Andy World Club 19th anniversary party
16 June 2007 was the day Andy World Club step off to the 20th anniversary. When I stepped into the hall, I felt the stage scenery was slightly different from before. There was no figure of good looking Andy, no Andy World Club logo. Instead, it was a big painting rich with Chinese taste. After listening to the introduction by MC, I came to know that it was 【Landscape of the Great Wall】. Actually it was painted by a member!! Wow~~~. It really is a powerful, life like painting !!!
Rub a dub! Drum sound as great “Flag Dance” performed on stage, we were all fascinated by the stage performers, at that very moment, the good looking main star, Andy, finally appeared in white shirts, white tie, grey pants, and sneaker. This was the start of the 19th anniversary party. It was a pleasure to see two guest performers, martial artists, Master Li and Master Lau. Their gallant stage performance fascinated us so much. Master Li and our “Swordsman Andy” performed “Sword fighting”. Their performance and movement was really excellent! The next program was “Tang Poem boy Kung fu” performance by children from Boy martial arts class of Li Fai Centre of Wushu. There were Tai chi fan and Tai chi sward performance performed by members from Tai chi class and performing arts team of Andy World Club. They were excellent. I could tell it was an enthusiastic performance…
And the lucky draw time had come! There were plenty of gifts this year. Among them, two gifts were absolutely worth for collection, the gift was underwear worn by Andy. Andy said with laugh that it smells of sweat. The other gift was T-shirt that printed Andox doll that Andy made in person. (It is believed that it is the one and only Andox T-shirt at this point), Andy said with smile, “If you all like the T-shirt, I will consider printing large number” The whole table burst into cheers after hearing it!
Anniversary party can not be perfect without Andy’s song! Firstly, 4 special guests played live music with musical instrument such as Chinese Zither, Sheng, Er hu, electronic organ, etc. After that, Andy sang “Chihng yih leuhng sam gin ” “Yat hei jau gwo dek yat ji” to their accompaniment. All of us were enchanted, sang along, and waved light stick ~~ When Andy sang “Sahp nihn“, video clip was played on screens on both side of the hall, the video clip was filmed with the corporation of oldies recipient this year. Through the video, everybody on the hall felt their support for Andy. Then, the cutting cake time had come. Except for celebrating Andy World Club 19th anniversary, Andy’s father’s early birthday was celebrated too. Staff tossed the big cake to the center of the stage. Then, Andy took photos with guests on stage!
Cheers have never stopped the whole night. The peak of the show was when the whole audience stood up and sang “Leuih dau leuih”, “zhong guo ren”, “Ngoh hahn ngoh chi sam”, and “Wihng yuhn gei dak neih”﹗The audience shouted together for an encore, in an enthusiasm, Andy went on to sing “Seventeen” and “Ai ni yi wan nian” to end the party.
Lastly, I would like to express my deepest thanks to all the staff, members of performing arts team and creative team for making such a great anniversary party. I look forward to Andy World Club 20th anniversary next year.
