9 Nov was a big day of Dream Comes True Gathering for the Mainland China members. We have been waiting for this day for a long time and it finally came. I was lucky to be selected as one of the volunteers in the Gathering in which I can show my support to Andy in a different way that was very meaningful to me. It was also a great challenge to us, being the volunteers, since there were a large number of members attending the Gathering with relatively big venue and long duration. However, for our BIG Brother, for our BIG Family, everyone of us dared not to slack off.
There was a souvenir counter at the front lobby of the ballroom. And it was worth to mention that AWC particularly prepared a 6-feet tall Andy’s standee for us to take pictures. An instant-photo voucher would be issued for purchasing assigned items at the souvenir counter. We, for sure, took this opportunity to take photos with HIM.
The most exciting moment came! The ballroom was seethed with enthusiasm when Andy appeared in black. It seemed like we did not need any instruction and shouted together “Andy I love you! Andy I love you!”. There was a circle stage in the middle of the room. He stood on the stage and said hello to all of us. Then, he shared with us that his latest album was in process. Cheering sounds were around the hall as we wished to listen to his new songs earlier! For movie, the film “Lost and Love” was at post-production stage and the release date was not yet confirmed. Then Andy quipped that everyone was concern about if there was any concert in the coming year and the answer was NO … haha. We all laughed by his humor.
Then, it was the time for chatting session with Andy. We were completely preoccupied with him, and worried that we would miss any second once he came and sat with us. Members of next table followed were very excited in preparing to meet him as we all wanted to show our best to him. All these scenes could be seen on the screens or television nearby. There were white-haired seniors, 4-month-old baby and some with families in the hall. I was touched by witnessing all these scenes and felt AWC was indeed a very warm FAMILY with love around!
What pushed the atmosphere to even higher? Andy sang <上海灘> and <愛你一萬年> on the circle stage and led the audience’s excitement to the highest!!! <愛你一萬年> also represents Andy’s love for us and the love that we will never give up to him. Andy is forever our eternal love.
Towards the end of the Gathering, although we were reluctant to leave, we also understood Andy was exhausted. Everyone waved and said goodbye to him. When the MC announced that the ‘Lucky Draw’ session was about to start, we became excited again. There were two winners at each table, who were rewarded with precious photos of Andy’s concert.
Last but not least, we are grateful for the attentive arrangements by AWC staff. We look forward to the next Dream Comes True Gathering!
