“青蔥時候我們相逢，純真友誼萌芽起來”, 28 June, 2015 Beijing Gathering has finally come with this delightful melody. Everyone was enthusiastic and excited. When Andy came out, all those cheering and applauses were unstoppable. Compliments were flying, “He is so handsome! He is magnificently handsome in person!”
“When I was in the backstage I heard some of you singing 知心朋友, have you all learned how to sing this song?” Andy asked. “Yes!!” We answered. Of course we do, we have practiced over and over again that we all know the song by heart! “The song I just sang was written by a Singaporean fan who has been my fan for 20, 30 years. So, now I have written a song to return the feelings to all of you. “青蔥時候，我們相遇，純純的愛無求無慾想做的事怕來不及，我要和你地老天荒時..下輩子承諾自己，那是必須的再遇上你！” Andy finished his song with a lump in his throat. We are all moved by the lyrics, and many members shed their tears.
Then it came to the Game session. Lucky members were drawn to go on stage and play games. They teamed up, and had to blow balloons which should be larger than the circle drawn on a cardboard. Whichever team that has most successfully blown balloons wins the game. Winning team won posters with Andy’s autographs, “Lost and Love” novels, and took a group photo with Andy. We are envious!
We all wondered why each of us was given two rubber bands when we entered. Andy answered our question. “So each of you now has two rubber bands, let me teach you a magic trick,” he said. We all paid close attention and practiced. Andy’s magic is meticulous, every single detail is delicate, and we were blown away. “Do you know how this magic works?” Andy asked. We shook our heads, “no.” Then he showed us how to do this trick. Andy patiently taught us each step until we got the trick. His patience is admirable.
During the question time, members asked various questions. A father in his 40s asked Andy, “My wife and I have a child in midlife; my work is so busy that I am always not home. Could you please tell me how to be a good father? How can I maintain a good relationship with my child?” Andy replies, “Children are like little animals, they are blood-related to their parents. You don’t need to be worried; children will be close to you when they get older. When my child was young, she was very close to me since I spent more time with her then. Now she is three, and the first person she wakes in the morning is her mother.”
Another member asked, “Andy, what do you seek in your employees?” “It really depends on what job position the person is. If you are a janitor, of course you will have to be able to make places nice and neat!” He replied humorously. Everyone laughed happily. There was also a lady in her 60s raised a question, “Andy, I am in my 60s, and I am single! I am a university professor, and I can do everything. I can do laundry, babysit, and all the cleaning at your house, what do you think?” Andy replied, “I will have to discuss this with my family.” The lady continued, “Many professors around also like you very much. They are all in their 70s and 80s. Their favorite activity is to watch your movies and concerts everyday!” Of course they do, Andy is amazingly attractive!
Then there was a male member, “I like you very much Andy, you are my role model, and I studied music because of you.” He said. Andy asked, “Where do you work now?” The member replied, “I am working at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in China.” Everyone was amazed. Andy then jokingly said, “Let’s not pick you for the singing session later.” The hall was filled with laughter.
In the singing session, there was a lucky draw for singing on stage with Andy. He drew a few lucky members, and those lucky members were overwhelmed by joy! Among those members there was a young child, he was unfamiliar with Andy’s songs, so his mother accompanied him. Then Andy asked if we should welcome the member who studied music to come up and sing a song with him, we all agreed! They sang “笨小孩” with Andy. I have to say that Andy is still the best! They also sang “愛你一萬年” and “冰雨”.
Happy moments went so fast, Andy sang “沒有人可以像你”and “你說他是你想嫁的人”, and the gathering ended with the melody of “回家的路”. Thanks to all staff for arranging this fantastic gathering for us! We look forward to the next event!
