[Track]Humanity exists in the world
In order to raise relief fund for the victims of Sichuan big earthquake, with more than 400 artistes from two shores, three places and 1400 volunteer staff, 8 hours marathon style event 《Artistes 512 Fund Raising campaign》took place at Pop TV Arena. With action, Artistes promised victims a long term support, and with love, they called fellow citizens to keep their spirits high. The event took place from 2pm to 10 pm, the total of more than 20,000 audience came to see the show, the most of them wear black T-shirt and yellow rubber bracelet and black rubber bracelet which represent “hope”. In the opening of the event the entire people and audience stood up and offered silent prayer.
Shortly after that, artistes sang “Promise” and the show officially started. Firstly, Andy and Jackie Chan shared their feeling of visiting devastated area, and also showed many heart aching and shocking video clips they brought back. When Andy was asked his feeling of visiting devastated area, he said that still there are full of hardships in devastated area, and the rescue army greeted him happily, and asked him to leave there soon because the place is very dangerous, Andy said that “They are having hardship, but I was really happy that I could see their smile, this is the only thing I can do.” He said he saw artistes from Mainland, Hong Kong, and Taiwan were all very enthusiastic, so he felt he need to thank all the people. He hopes that victims can feel that too. Andy also invited disabled people as performer and hoped victims in mainland can walk their own path bravely, bitter scenes were seen many times, but he think that people need to face things positively at this point. Lastly, as a program planner, Andy kneeled down and expressed his thanks to all the artistes.
