[Track]Great response for Campaign by Artistes

Sichuan big earthquake caused heavy casualties, artistes in show business are doing their best for the relief in response to a request for help. Andy Lau assembled nearly 200 artistes from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan to attend the press conference held on May 22, including major medias, Television stations and record companies, they are all very enthusiastic for the event, and more than 100 Chinese and foreign medias are also there to cover it.

At the press conference, it was announced that 《Artistes 512 Fund Raising Campaign》performance will be held on June 1, and also a group of artistes will visit devastated area. As the representative of artistes, Andy made a statement that a fund raising event will be held at big shopping malls all over Hong Kong on May 25 and a big fund raising event will be held at Pop TV Arena, on June 1, all the singers in Hong Kong will appear and sing the whole day through.

He hopes people will continue donating money. Andy said “All the people in Show business assembled in a short time, everybody is working hard, although I can not represent victims, but I represent myself to thank people in various fields! The enthusiasm is not for a short time, but for a long time, we need to keep it for at least 3 to 7 years. I wish for a quick reconstruction, this is a promise to them. I hope God will bless and protect Sichuan and China.” Andy expressed his deepest thanks to Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Film Development Fund, and many government sectors for the full support.
