[Track]Andy Supports Technologies Invention
The opening ceremony of Power Showcase of Hong Kong New Media Artists was held in the Festvial Walk at Kowloon Tong’ with theme “Invention& Intervention”. It exhibited the winning products and invention of new media artists. Hong Kong Art Development Council’s Film and Media Arts chairman Johnnie and Andy attended the event as the opening ceremony guests. Andy’s Fans jam packed the shopping mall and screamed out loudly when Andy appeared!
Andy thought the greatest invention of the last two decades was ‘toilet’. He made fun of himself saying he could not squat down and found ‘toilet’ very convenient while Johnnie To thought telephone is the greatest invention.
Andy expressed it was the third time he attended this opening ceremony. He said he had use different technologies on the stage every year. Fast moving technology could be used on the stage. “I made use of LED lights in my previous concert with good effects.” But he found that there were too many new technologies which might affect basic lifestyle, like computers, since many had forgotten how to write in Chinese. Then he demonstrated how to use new technology to write Chinese calligraphy.
