[Track]Andy fed gourmet meal for panda
“7.1” was 10th anniversary of the reunification of Hong Kong with China, and it was also the special day when national treasure, giant panda, “Ying Ying” and “Le Le”, gift from central government to Hong Kong to celebrate the anniversary, to meet the public for the first time. Ocean Park invited their Conservation Foundation Conservation Ambassador, Andy to host renovated panda habitat opening ceremony for two pandas. Andy took care of Ying Ying and Le Le’s food and habitat in person. Andy arrived at Panda habitat early morning at 6am on that day. Andy was in zookeeper uniform, laid bamboo leaves at the new habitat, cut fruit and prepared panda meal “Wo wo tauh”, which was invented in Hong Kong. To make it, add bamboo powder, oil, sugar, salt, etc, to flour and corn starch, knead the dough and steam it. Andy has kneaded flour before, but it was for human being, it was the first time for him to prepare meal for Panda. Andy felt it was very interesting. Andy also said with praise that Giant Panda is so cute, when he fed fruit for them, they acted like children, squeezing head, scrambling to eat, and they were very obedient and clever. Andy looked so excited to have close contact with Giant Panda.
