[Track]Visit to devastated area for cheering

Andy and Sammi Cheng Sau-man and others, a group of artistes visited the devastated area in Sichuan. They firstly arrived at Eastern Steamship. It was originally a car park where more than 500 people died after the earthquake, so after their arrival, they firstly offered a minute of silent prayer to the dead before start paying visit. They then went to Mianzhu temporary hospital and visited the heroes of the first corps that arrived at devastated area to rescue people, and sang national anthem with them.

When the patients and medical staff of the hospital saw their arrival, they all look so happy and came to shake hands one after another, which created confusion for a while. During that time, there were old ladies who can not sit up on the bed, so they went to bedside to console them. With regard to this visit to devastated area, Andy expressed that what he saw was very different from the news report. It is because the recoveries of patients were very quick, in addition to it, they were all energetic, and quick reconstruction was in progress in the devastated area. He said with emotion that “Thanks to Chinese People’s Liberation Army!” Andy also mentioned that their spirit is also so great. They persist in reconstructing and putting great energy on that in physical strength, materials, psychological and economical aspect, so quick recoveries were achieved, Chinese people are so great! Andy said “This time, Mainland and Hong Kong artistes visited devastated area to bring happiness to victims, because we can’t help them in other aspect, but we will take time to promise them.From now on, we will give them all of our love. We will help them enable to gain better progress, better and faster recovery.” Andy also said that the victims he met were all very optimistic and having a feeling of gratitude, and have smiles on their faces. It was not like tragic situations that were reported on news. So he was very happy.
